This amazing ColorFabb filament is a blend of 80% fine Bronze particles and PLA and prints on standard desktop 3D Printers at PLA settings.

Features Specs Support
It is very brittle in the filament state and seems like it would not be strong, but when you print and the melted PLA bonds and blends with the bronze it becomes very strong. When it comes off the printer it does not look like bronze. It looks sandy and dull. You then polish and sand it and it comes up as amazing beautiful polished bronze. You can do this process by hand or in a rock polisher.

So you can now print metal objects on your 3D Printer!
Printing Tips/Settings
Temp : 195-220C
Speed : 40-100mm/s
Bed Temp : 50-60c (tested on cold bed without problems)
Bed surface : Blue Tape
TIP! Sanding and polishing your parts will make the bronze particles shine. Start sanding with grit 120-180 and make sure all the printed lines vanish. You will notice that because bronzeFill is easy to sand down, careful you wont loose too much detail. Then start working your way up by following with grit 240-320 and finishing off with grit 600 - or higher. Finally we used a clean soft cloth and some copper polish to really get all of the shine out of the bronze particles.
TIP! For stronger prints and better reliability you can increase flow rate with about 0-10%. This will cause the filament to keep going through the hot zone at a steady pace. Note: tested on the Makerbot Replicator 2 (at 200 degrees c), Ultimaker (220 degrees c), and many other full metal based extruder 3D Printers. using 0.2mm layer height, 50mm/s print speed, on a cold bed
NOTE METAL FILAMENTS ARE ABRASIVE: In general these filaments will accelerate the nozzle-wear of brass nozzles, much faster than unfilled filaments. We recommend Coated nozzles be used for extended life
