Lay-Brick Filament - 1.75mm - 250g Coil - until sold out
This is a new experimental filament made from a mix of powdered chalk and mineral particles and polymers, which can be used in your 3D printer to produce items that look and feel like stone.
After printing it can be sanded to be very smooth, or is rough like stone straight off the bed. If can also be dyes with ink and painted. It has been tested at layer heights between 0.1 - 0.5mm with a max fill of 25%
No heated bed is necessary and it is warp-free BUT YOU MUST have a filament fan for best results. We have, however tested it on machines without this feature, including the replicator 1, and still got good results. You would not want to print models that need support material though.
This filament requires a setting time on the bed when print is finished, un touched for up to 2 hours for large items.
It is made in Germany, and distributed in Australia by BilbyCNC. The manufacturers have spent over a year on research and development of the material, and feedback to date has been positive.
We hope you like it and look forward to your feedback.
This product comes in a coil, not on a spool. The coil is 250g, which is approv 60-70m
