THE ALL-NEW MAKERBOT REPLICATOR MINI+
Simple, Accessible, and Reliable Desktop 3D Printing
ENGINEERED FOR RELIABLE, FASTER PRINTING AND BACKED BY EXTENSIVE TESTING
The MakerBot Replicator Mini+ prints 10% faster than its predecessor and offers a 28% larger build volume. For greater reliability and precision, it features improved hardware, like a redesigned Z-stage and refined gantry.
To ensure consistent performance, Makerbots new 3D printers and their subsystems were re-engineered and rigorously tested for 380,000+ hours across multiple facilities.
FACTORY LEVELED and GRIP SURFACE
With the new Grip Surface (Build-tak users will be familiar with this type of surface already), prints adhere better, resulting in reduced warping and curling. And guess what? No more blue tape. The build plate is also factory-levelled so your Replicator Mini+ is ready to go right out of the box.
The bed still slides out, so print removal is easier and safer.
To ensure easy, accessible 3D printing, the MakerBot Replicator Mini+ comes with the Smart Extruder+ and all the standard features such as an on-board camera, as well as connectivity via Wi-Fi and USB cable.
The Replicator Mini+ is Cloud-enabled so you can control it remotely with MakerBot Print or the MakerBot Mobile app. With MakerBot Print, you can import Native CAD files, auto-arrange them during print preparation, and then print them on one or more printers. To get started printing quickly and easily, MakerBot Mobile offers an all-new guided wireless setup.
Get up and running quickly with the easy, guided wireless setup through MakerBot Mobile. Once you’re ready, you can monitor and control your print jobs even when youre away via the 3D printer’s on-board camera.
FILAMENT - WHAT CAN IT PRINT?
The Makerbot Mini + is designed to print PLA filament. PLA filament is environmentally friendly (biodegrading over 5-15 years) and fume free which makes it the perfect choice for classrooms, homes and workplaces alike. It is also an easy plastic to print with, which makes it the perfect choice for beginners. Lastly PLA has almost no shrinkage so it provides better engineering precision.
The Filament drawer ir designed for small spools and fits both Makerbot and Bilby brand mini spools (200g each).
Abrasives and metals
Abrasive filaments are ones that are tough, like IRON and STEEL. These CAN NOT be printed on the Makerbot Mini. You can however print low percentage metal blends, like the Aluminium and Copper. We have also tested the Bilby brand Flex filaments in the smart extruder with great success, and Bilby brand PLA-Wood filament also prints perfectly.

Makerbots The MakerBot Replicator+ is Faster, Easier, Quieter 3D Printing and a 22% Bigger Build Volume than previous model It has a flexible build plate for easier part removal. Redesigned Z axis movement and now comes factory leveled. Honest review: The new software allows CAD-To-Print and multi machine management which is a real plus for schools and print labs. It is quieter, but not as big a leap to silence Makerbot may want you to believe. The build size is dramatic and the auto levelling seems perfect so far. The flex bed is great, but we recommend adding Buildtak for extra grip. All in all a professional machine easy to use.
This amazing filament is made from a mix of wood particles and bio-polymers, which can be used in your 3D printer to produce items that look like wood...best of all we have made it flexible enough to come on a spool, yet stronger so it does not snap like other brands
PLA Filament - 1.75mm - White - 200g Spool
Bilby3D PLA, Solid White in colour
PLA Filament - 1.75mm - Transparent - 200g Spool
This Bilby3D PLA filament is clear. The optical clarity will depend on how well each strand of filament that is printed melts with the surrounding material. If the strands are not pushed together, the curves of the strands will bend light giving it a white appearance (same way that air bubles in water look white). We have had some success with annealing the printed part by placing in an oven at around 80-100 degrees for 5-10mins.

This Bilby3D, Fluorescent Green (Glows under UV light and is semi transparent) in colour
PLA Filament - 1.75mm - Light Green - 200g Spool
This Bilby3D PLA 1.75 mm filament comes on a mini spool (150 x 32mm. 52mm hole) and is Light Green in color.
PLA Filament - 1.75mm - Yellow - 200g Spool
Bilby3D PLA in a Solid Matt Yellow colour
PLA Filament - 1.75mm - Fluro Yellow - 200g Spool
Bilby3D PLA 1.75 mm filament, Fluorescent Yellow (Glows under UV light and is semi transparent) in colour
This is genuine Makerbot 5th Gen PLA Translucent Blue filament (1.75mm), on the 5th generation 0.9kg spool. When you are printing thin walled objects it almost looks like a slightly blue glass, very very transparent. On thicker prints it is more like a crystle blue. Gives a nice effect, would be great for car windows etc, where you are looking for that glass look.
