Dust Cover for Makerbot Mini
Keep dust and debris out of your Makerbot Mini!
The origional Makerbot Mini phots and press shots had a trasparent lid on the Mini - great we thought, closed chamber!
When the machines shipped though, they did not come with thse lids fitted, perhaps Makerbot had a problem with the angled feed on their Smart Extruders?
Regardless, we've come up with these Acrylic/Perspex lids to cover your machine. They don't seal the unit as they need to stand up to allow the filament guide tube to move freedly, but they will keep out most dust and reduce the warping and bed adhesion problems sometimes caused by drafts and excessive air movement.

Backed By Bilby3D : What Our Customers Have To Say
" After waiting 5 weeks for tech support from my supplier I rang you. Within 2 hours I was printing - your tech girl was incredible. Thanks so much." Adam

" Thank you for all of your support with my Makerbot Replicator 2. Although, I’m embarrassed to say, I bought my Rep 2 from the other Australian distributor, the difference in the level of support I’ve experienced has been considerable.
Your level of experience and expertise is readily apparent, whereas the impression I have from Thinglab is that they are a simple sales agency rather than a value-added distributor.
Your willingness to help troubleshoot a printer that you didn’t even sell was sensational – the corresponding experience from Thinglab was comparable to a proverbial ‘shrug of the shoulders’.
Bilby3D’s access to the latest information, tips, and ability to improvise improved parts for what is, understandably, a brand new device/work in progress has substantially increased the benefit I’m receiving from my printer."
Troy, Skyzer

" Bilby have always been there to help us along the way, no matter how silly my questions." Kate

" Loving the new fact sheets on - great work guys." Ben

Note: So many non-Bilby3D customers now want Bilby3D tech support and warranty that we had to start charging, sorry - $300 per year. This is free to customers who purchase machines from us. Please consider how much dependable support is worth to you?
Makerware : new software to back it up
Makerbot has released FREE all new software : Makerware. The software enables lightning fast preparation time utilising the companies new slicing engin, which is 20 times faster than previous technology. Plus it is smarter and more efficient, which means faster build times too!
Download it now ; and pen up one of your designs, or one you downloaded from and experiment with scaling it, moving it, and saving the file for printing. You will see you have full control over the number of Shells (how thick the wall is) and the density of the model (from 0% to 100% solid/fill). You can also specify the layer height (resolution) from .34mm to .1mm.

Plus you can now make multiple things at once! Just load up muliple models at the same time and print them simultaneously!

Makerbot 5th Gen PLA - Mini Spools
5th Gen Makerbots have specific Spool draws that require Makerbot 5th Gen PLA Spools. The Mini, being mini, has a Mini Spool drawer, that will not fit a normal sized spool.
You Can still use other PLA filament! (click here for full list here) It will just not fit in the drawer. When you buy other filament from us wita 5th Generation Makerbot we will give you a free turntable to hold your filament spool during printing.

Makerbot Mini spools will be available in Australia in April. They are 200g.
